Musical Theatre Academy
The Academy
Our Academy is aimed at beginner to medium level students from Primary 1 through to Secondary 6, wishing to attend Encore Stars Academy to acquire skills in acting, singing and dance.
Encore students attend one day per week for two hours and are automatically involved in our three productions in May, November and Christmas each year. Students are grouped according to age within their classes.
Our Academy is available on the following days:
Monday from age 4 to 7 4.30 to 6pm and 8 to 16 from 6 to 8pm, Wednesday from 8 to 16 from 6 to 8pm
Entry Requirements
We dont believe in entry auditions...we believe in maintaining high standards through quality teaching coupled with hard work.
We don't mind how good you are to begin with. We only care how good you'll become. Our staff love a challenge so the only really relevant question is "are YOU ready for it?"
There are opportunities at Encore Stars Academy for everyone. Those with experience may find themselves undertaking a leading role in one of our productions or performing abroad!. Those just starting out will build a solid foundation of technical skills and gain vital performance experience.
Our students have performed in London's West End, and even across the pond in the USA. But remember everyone's starts off at the beginning.
Entry auditions at theatre schools are standard and our approach has always been the same, but our aim is to help every student realise their potential at every level.
Cost
At Encore new students get 2 weeks free! each class is ranges from £20! Yes just £20 per month to £25 per month. We provide services excellent professional services but at a lower rate.
After 2 weeks all students are then asked to set up a Monthly direct debit for their classes.

Based In East Kilbride at Encore Studios our camps are back and ready to take in registrations Ages 4 to 14
During these brilliant Musical Based camps we also have Movies on the projector
Arts and Crafts
As well as Singing, Dancing and acting to keep everyone entertained
And we will film the results of their hard work for parents to see

All camp days are 9am to 1pm
Cost
Just £80 for the full week (that's just £5 per hour)
AdvANCED aCTING AND sINGING
Advanced
This course is predominantly for young people with a keen interest in acting and singing. Subjects covered are Acting with Script, Improvisation, Acting for Camera, Vocal Technique with a focus on preparation for further educational establishments.
These students attend 2 hours per week, depending on the Acting & Performance course chosen, and are automatically involved in our Summer and Christmas Productions each year.
Our Acting & Performance Academies comprise of the following:
Advanced Acting and Singing - Saturday 10:00 to 12:00
We also offer this now in a split session, acting 10 till 11 and singing 11 t0 12 for those wanting to focus on one.
Entry Requirements
Every potential student does not need to complete an audition process. Previous experience is not necessary however, regular attendance, a willingness to work hard alongside commitment and dedication are essential.
Cost
Get your first two classes for free! classes are just £35 per month
After 2 weeks all students are then asked to set up a Monthly direct debit for their classes. If you split up the session then each class would be £20 per month
Performance
Performance Course
Our Performance course is available to all attendees of our other courses and those who do not. Students attend 2-3 hours per week working on, show choreography, Songs, Stage direction and all aspects of performing in front of a live audience.
Courses run November to May and May to November.
Cost
All students who attend our performance class pay £6 which is payable via a direct debit. (£21 per month)
To perform in each show there is a one off £45 per show per student fee, which is put straight towards costumes and all theatre related costs and includes a free production T-shirt.
Full-scale Productions at Encore Stars Academy
Encore produces two full-scale productions per year – the November Production and our May Musical Theatre Production.
November Production
The entire school is involved in the November Production. Auditions are at the beginning of May each year. Rehearsals begin end of May. Principals are required to attend an extra hour of rehearsals before the rest of Cast from October attend the full 3 hours. External Auditions are always welcome each year.
Summer Musical Theatre Production
All students on the Acting & Performance or Musical Theatre courses take part in the full-scale summer musicals as part of their course. Auditions to be cast in this full-scale production take place in November and Rehearsals begin in December.
NEW!
Adult Class
Our new class for 16 years over, this class is on at our Studio in East Kilbride 8.30pm to 10pm and is £5 (£20 per month). Our amazing class performed Little Shop in April and Cry Baby in November 2022. And are working on The Addams Family for April 2023
No experience necessary, just a willingness to try!
MINI CLASSES
Mini Musical Theatre
Our Academy is aimed at beginner level students from aged 3 to 7 through wishing to attend Encore Stars Academy to acquire skills in acting, singing and dance. (and have fun!)
Encore students attend one day per week for two hours and are automatically involved in our three productions in May, November and Christmas each year. Students are grouped according to age within their classes.
Our excellent teacher Kimberley will provide a professional course, aimed at introducing the students to Musical Theatre, preparing them for shows, and much much more.
Our Academy is available on the following days:
Monday 1.5 hours per week aged 3 to 7.
For students aged 3, they must be able to use the toilet unassisted.
