OUR encore team

Trained in Musical Theatre with Lynne Millar before teaching Drama and Singing at a local Theatre school. Opened Encore in 2013 and has directed over 15 shows. Script Writing and adaptations are a speciality to ensure every Encore show is unique! Allen has hosted competitions and acted as Sound Technician, Director, Costume Designer and stage manager to name a few jobs. His passion for teaching the arts are second to none, and is dedicated to building students confidence to build their skills in later life and to spread positive attitudes.

I have been dancing, teaching & choreographing for the past 10 years now. My career so far has allowed me to work in TV, film, theatre, music videos, film-dance & live events. My professional training in jazz, ballet and contemporary pushes me to create interesting movement using a fusion of these styles. Currently continuing my advanced training through the RAD, I look for dancers who invest themselves in their craft! I am the Creative Director of the ‘Gavin Williams Dance Company’ which is specifically tailored to train the next generation of creative artists and associate level industry dancers. I have professionally trained under some of the best professionals in Scotland at West College Scotland and The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, as well as collaborations/worked alongside many international professionals. I believe that a dancer has to be as much of an athlete as they are an artist! 

Andrea graduated from the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, and she went on to perform in musical productions nationwide. Her first major role was Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and she went on to play Debs in the 70’s musical Boogie Nights as well as several years of Pantomimes nationwide.  Her career has taken her to tour the UK and, in fact, worldwide with her own bands, production shows and performing her solo cabaret act on land and aboard major cruise liners. She has taught musical theatre for various schools in the UK as well as offering private vocal coaching to individual students.   Andrea has now settled in Scotland with her husband and two young daughters and is delighted to now be working with the fantastic teaching team at Encore, and directing the adult productions from now on, promising to produce some amazing shows! 

Eve joined the company to be part of our Pippa Perkins Cast and has already had big roles in our Little Shop of Horror, Cry Baby and Addams Family Productions and was Sandy in Grease. Eve brings excellent experience to the role as Assistant Director and can be found in both Encore classes and rehearsals. Eve will always welcome you and help you in any circumstance and understands the bigger picture. Having Eve on board with us really helps in so many ways to add additional professionalism to our services.

Lisa graduated with a Ba (hons) degree in Musical Theatre from New College Lanarkshire. She has been very fortunate to perform professionally for the past ten years in plays, production shows, pantomimes and as a lead Production Vocalist for Headliners Theatre Company, exploring the world on beautiful cruise ships.

Lisa has taught dance, musical theatre and adult choir classes in various schools. Lisa also offers private lessons, group adults dance classes and private couple first dance classes. 

Lisa is excited to inspire and nurture the next generation of Scottish talent!

Kirsty joined the company to be part of our Addams Family Cast. Kirsty brings a wealth of knowledge with her and instils this knowledge on to the kids. Kirsty has a positive attitude to teaching and insures her classes are just as educational as they are fun. We are delighted to have Kirsty on board.

At 8 years old I was a student at Encore and became passionate about musical theatre. Since then I have gained lots of experience in both film and theatre. I've performed in locations such as the Edinburgh Fringe, SSE Hydro, Shaftesbury Theatre and many more! I've had opportunities to appear on Channel 4,BBC, FIFA World Cup ads and most recently 2022's blood donation advert on STV. I love all aspects of musical theatre however I have a particular interest in dancing! A while back I was a dancer in Sophie Ellis Bextor's new video "Hypnotized". I have a HNC in Musical Theatre and I am now studying HND in Musical Theatre. During my HNC I was given the opportunity to perform as an ensemble member in South Lanarkshire's panto 'Beauty and the Beast'. I will be participating again this year in 'Cinderella'. I adore teaching and using my experience to help the kids become familiar with the industry so that they can reach their full potential!
